What membership means

LIBEA is the network Black educators deserve.

Long Island is one of the most segregated regions in the country, and its school systems reflect that. Too often Black educators move through it without a network behind them. LIBEA is that network: mentorship, career opportunities, recognition, and a community that has your back when it matters.

Network & mentorship

From new teachers to superintendents, a community that opens doors and answers the call.

Career opportunities

Early access to openings across Nassau and Suffolk, and alerts matched to you.

Scholarships & recognition

Student scholarships and the Annual Recognition Symposium that honors our best.

Advocacy & community

A voice on equity, and a community that celebrates its own.

Where your dues go

A $75 membership does real work.

It funds scholarships, laptops for classrooms, and the programs that hold this community together.
